Dear Antoine de Saint-Exupéry,

Thanks for writing The Little Prince.

It’s my favorite book. It’s always been my favorite book. I get this little ache inside whenever I even think about it, that’s how beautifully you explained what matters.

Did I take it to heart? Did I fashion my essence into something worthy of your Little Prince?

Maybe! Because when my daughter read it again recently she told me, “It’s you in book form.”

All I wanted out of life is to see that reflection in her eyes, and now I have.
